Bato: Road to Death marks the directorial debut of Madan Thapa.[1][2][3][4] and is produced by Chandan Jha of Kathmandu Films. The film introduces a new genre to the Nepali movie industry, featuring antagonists unlike any previously seen in Nepali cinema. Madan Thapa also wrote and edited the movie. The film's cinematography was handled by Saran Rishi from India, while the gaffer and lighting team were from Nepal, along with other departments.
At the end of the movie, a sequel titled "Bato - Road to Birth" is teased, promising further exploration of the story.
Plot Line
The film showcases the journey of three main characters. Komal, a paramedic agent, is on a mission to deliver a live heart for transplant via ambulance. Their journey takes an unexpected turn when they encounter a vigilant psychotic cult gang intent on consuming the hearts of young women to awaken their leader.
