Bato Dugarzhapov

Bato Dugarzhapov (born 29 January 1966) is a Russian painter, impressionist. Dugarzhapov participated in countless group and individual exhibitions to show his work, and now his work resides in private collections in Russia, France, Great Britain, Italy, Netherlands, USA, Japan, Cyprus, and Croatia.[1] The subject matter of interest ranges from landscapes and still lifes to portraits.

Biography[edit]

Bato was born in Durdulga village, the Chita region.[2] He graduated from Surikov Moscow Art School, Surikov Moscow State Art Institute, and Monumental painting studio of E. N. Maksimov. [2]

In 1999-2000, Dugarzhapov painted a fresco at Cathedral of Christ the Saviour (central dome and dome above altar). [3]

Bato has a home and studio in Moscow, although he paints most of his works en plein air.
