Omaha Beach in WWII was untouched by the Allies but with the Allied invasion of Sicily they were confident enough to invade France. The Normandy Landings were bloody for both sides but the fighting at Omaha Beach was particularly fierce. When the landings came the soldiers were met with machine gun fire. Only a few thousand soldiers survived the machine gun onslaught. They stayed out of the range of the machine guns then one soldier carried a Bangalore torpedo and put between the barbed wire. Then the soldiers waited......... And then it blew. Thousands of American soldiers went into the gap but two machine gunners were in their way. So an American sniper shot both of them in the head. Then a German submachine gunner met a American submachine gunner and a American rifle man. The German submachine gunner was shot two times and met a very likely fate. Then the American soldiers even shot retreating German soldiers in the trenches. Then the Americans took out all the pillboxes and the Germans finally surrendered.
