This Battle took place near Farsala where there was strong Greek garison of 14,000 men. There was a really strong greek defense here and Ottoman forces without knowing the numbers attacked with nearly 8,000 infantry. In the morning the turksih forces started to bombard the town and started to strom the greek lines. Rami Pasha decided to send some 2,000 of his men to atack from the flank. This worked and costed greeks over 600 mens. In panic greek forces retreated but establish a line of defence 6 km out from the cities. Ottoman forces didn't went after them due to Ottoman plan of attack at Velestino.
