The Battle of Heishiguan took place from October 26 to November 30, 1929. The location was in the northern part of Henan, China. It was one of the civil war battles that took place within the National Revolutionary Army. The warring sides at Heishiguan were Liu Xing and Ji Hao's 51st Division of Chiang Kai-shek's forces, and Peng Bingxun's army, which supported the Northwest Army of Feng Yuxiang. The battle triggered a fierce conflict between the Northwest Army and the Chinese Central Army. Participants included Northwest Army commanders Zhang Zizhong, Sun Liangcheng, Liang Guanying, and Cheng Xinming.
