Background[edit]
The Georgians entered Sokhumi in 1918 with only 900 troops. The Abkhazians had 1000 troops waiting for Georgians. The Abkhazians thought that, they could defeat the Georgians because they were outnumbered, but everything went wrong.
Aftermath[edit]
The battle ended with Georgian victory. The Georgians fully annexed Abkhazia.
