Battle of South-Eastern Jutland is a term which is used to describe the rivalry between two of the main clubs in the south-eastern Jutland region in Danish football AC Horsens and Vejle Boldklub.[1]

History behind rivalry[edit]

The rivalry between AC Horsens and Vejle Boldklub is first and foremost a regional rivalry between two cities in south-east Jutland which is only about 19 miles (32 kilometres) from each other. The rivalry between these two clubs is also in many ways the rivalry between the tradition club of Vejle Boldklub 1891 against the new modern club AC Horsens from 1994 as a superstructure of Horsens fS (founded 1915) and the merger of Dagnæs IF and B 1940. Of the two clubs, there is no doubt that Vejle Boldklub is the most successful of them with five Danish Football Championship titles and six Danish Cup titles. AC Horsens have in contrast to Vejle Boldklub never won any Danish Cup titles or Danish Football Championship titles.[2][3]
