Bawaal is an Indian Hindi-language upcoming drama film directed by Nitesh Tiwari, featuring Varun Dhawan as 'Ajju Bhaiya' and Janhvi Kapoor as 'Nisha'.[1] [2] It tells the story of a small-town man who falls in love with the most beautiful girl in town. The film is expected to be released theatrically on April 7, 2023. The film is jointly produced by Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment & Earthsky Pictures.

The movie title was announced along with its release date and the cast on March 30, 2022.[3]

Filming

Bawaal's shooting began on April 10, 2022. The actors and the production house announced the wrap on August 1, 2022.[4] The film is shot in India (Mumbai & Lucknow) and different parts of Europe such as Paris, Berlin, Amsterdam, Krakow, Warsaw, Poland.[5] It is Janhvi Kapoor's first and Varun Dhawan's third collaboration with Nadiadwala Grandson Entertainment[6][7]

Release

Bawaal was scheduled for a theatrical release on April 7, 2023[8]. However, it has been pushed due to VFX and technical requirements.[9]
