Shelby Lynn Beaven (born 17 December 2002), known professionally as Bean2002, is an American singer, songwriter, and musician. Her music style is greatly influenced by the 80's and she is best known for her recreation of the time period. Her main genres include pop, rock, folk, synthpop, and synthwave.
Her song, "He's So Wild", is currently her number one hit. Her albums include "Cold Blooded" and "Sweet Love".
'Early Life'
Bean2002 was born in Indianapolis in December 17, 2oo2. She was raised in Kentucky and at the age of 10, she moved to Tennessee. She was homeschooled all her life and taught herself everything about music. She began her career in the summer of 2023.
Career
Bean2002 had her first online radio play with "Ingrown Radio". They aired her song "He's So Wild" for the first time. She is an independent artist and is currently not signed to a record label.
Influences
As a result of growing up and listening to 80s music, Bean2002 had a strong desire to bring the style back. She incorporates the style of Tears For Fears, Journey, Bob Geldof, and Madonna. Bean2002 brings the popular genres of the 80's into her music, including synthpop, pop, pop rock, and sometimes folk rock.
Songwriting
Bean2002 has different songwriting styles. She says that usually the lyrics depends on the mood of the songs. She stated that she enjoys writing a song that means something to her, but maybe means something else to each listener. She often writes songs about love and romances, giving them her own unique sound.
