Ciarán Ruaridh McDonald[1] (born April 23, 1993), known by his stage name bearface. (previously stylized as Bear//Face), is an Irish rapper, singer-songwriter, and singer, and is a founding member of Brockhampton. Bearface released his debut project, Beat_Tape, in 2012 which received attention in the Electronic music community.
Biography
Early life
McDonald was born in England but moved to Belfast, Ireland at 10 years old. He started playing guitar when he was 12 and was in a band at 14 playing in local buildings.[2]
Solo career
The origins of McDonald's solo career can be found in his remixes posted on his Soundcloud and Bandcamp. McDonald remixed many songs under Bear//Face such as, "Long Live A$AP" by A$AP Rocky, "My Love" by Justin Timberlake and much more. [3] [4] Bear//Face would then release "Beat_Tape" in 2012 and got an opportunity to tour with The 1975 in 2013.
BROCKHAMPTON
McDonald met the members of BROCKHAMPTON on the Kanye West Fan Forum "KanyeToThe" and was asked if he wanted to join the group but had to travel back and forth from Belfast to the United States. "WASTE", a song that he produced, wrote and sang was recorded in London and was originally going to be on an debut album of his but ended up on the SATURATION album. He would then move to Los Angeles to become a producer, instrumentalist, and vocalist of the boyband.[5]
Every Saturation album features a track written, produced and sang by McDonald. Those songs are "WASTE", "SUMMER" and "TEAM". He also makes appearances on songs like "BLEACH", "GAMBA" and "JESUS".
McDonald has started rapping more on the iridescence album and the group's latest release GINGER.

McDonald mainly plays a Fender Jaguar and sparingly plays a Fender Telecaster. He used fellow member of BROCKHAMPTON, Robert Ontenient's guitar to write and record the song "QUIVER".[6] [7]
