Beata Pawlikowska (born 11 June 1965, Koszalin)[1] is a Polish radio and television journalist, traveler, photographer and writer.

Education

Beata Pawlikowska graduated from the secondary school in Koszalin. She started philological studies (Hungarian and English), but quickly resigned. At the age of 19 , she went to London and worked there as a member of hotel staff.

In 1990 she started to work for local radio station in Koszalin, where at the beginning she was directing radio English course and then her own music program. In 1992 she went to London, from where she was recording music auditions named "Tam-tam" for program III in Polish Radio Polskie Radio for 9 months. In 1993 when she came back to Poland, started to work for commercial radio station - Radio Kolor. Together with Grzegorz Wasowski they directed a music program - "Hits for retired”. In 1994 she was directing music program „Be-bop-a-lula” for TV station TVP1. In 1995 she came back to Polskie Radio Program III ,and directed similar music program with Grzegorz Wasowski, but with chanched name " Hits for oldboys" [ Lista przebojów dla oldboyów]. She also directed the program "Internoc" ,and another one about Elvis Presley "15.10 to Memphis" In 1998 she recorded the first program, from the Amazon Jungle „Venezuela ‘98”, co-organised by [[Polskie Radio Program III ]] and the newspaper Rzeczpospolita. In 1999 she started to direct program in commercial radio Radio Zet "World by Blonde girl" Świat według blondynki her own program about travels. From the autumn 2004 directed a program "World by Beata Pawlikowska" for Polskie Radio Program I, but in December she comes back to Radio ZET and her program "World by Blonde Girl". Between 2002-2005 she directed TV program about travels [[Studio pogoda]] in TVP1. She's the author of travelling reality show “The winners" Zdobywcy in TVP2 (2004) and TVP1 ( 2005, together with Krzysztof Wielicki) , internet audition in radio online Baobab "Tree of the traveler" . Between 2007-2008 together with Krzysztof Skiba directed a program "Travels with Joke" Podróże z żartem, and in 2009 "Mysterious blonde" Zagadkowa Blondynka for TVP2.

Travels,press,books

She wrote her first book, when she was 18 years old. Book was presented in sections in Polskie Radio. She travels around the word for few months, mostly in South America, observing the life of Amazonian Indians. According to Wojciech Cejrowski's reports, she was the first women, who came acrros the most malaric Jungle on foot- Darien on the border of [Panama] and [Columbia]. They are also considered as the first polish travelers who came across Darien. This travel Wojciech Cejrowski described in his book "Gringo among wild tribes" Gringo wśród dzikich plemion.

Beata Pawlikowska, wherever she travelled she collected notes and her own photos. After trip she usually published a book, with her own photos, and drawings. She describe her travels also in feuilletons written for local magazines such as „Głosu Pomorza”, „Głos Szczeciński”, „Słowo Polskiege – Gazeta Wrocławska”. Her articles and photos were published as well, in known polish newspapers and magazines such as Gazeta Wyborcza, Rzeczpospolita, Polityka, Playboy, Poznaj Świat, Podróże, Focus, Viva, Cosmopolitan and National Geographic She worked also as a translator for the publishing house [Egmont] and for Polskie Radio Program II

  • 2001, 2002: The first price in the contest organized by Club of Tourist Journalists -Association of Poland for best foreign reports published in Poland.
  • 2002: Nominated to the Grand Press award.
  • 2003: First price in two categories media.FM.net: radio personality contest in "Winners of ether 2003" and in " Pearls of Radio "
  • 2010: Magellan's Price for promoting fashion for traveling.
  • 2013: A honorous title of Ambassador from Foundation Irma, which object is dog training to search missing people.
