Beatriz Faura Perez
Beatriz Faura Pérez (Madrid, España) is a makeup artist in movies, television, theatre and fashion.
Biography[edit]
She studied makeup and characterization in Escuela Jean D'Estrées and later in Harpo, Estudio 24, Escuela Mar Díaz, Asociación de Maquilladores Españoles para Cámara yFocos, Image Artists, Rizos, Make Up Experience (with a specialty in aerographical makeup techniques), Esip and Cool Producciones, with teachers such as Ricardo Vázquez, Juan Pedro Hernández o Moncho Moreno. She has worked for television, movies, commercials, fashion, videoclips, etc. She also collaborates with Race&Rhythm.
In 1992 Beatriz Faura Pérez designed the makeup for Angel Fernandez Santos first film, and in 1996, she directed the crucial makeup concept for the Spanish cult movie "Animia de Cariño"...,[1] one of the key films in the Spanish new generation of the 90's, directed by Carmelo Espinosa, with a special characterization work for legendary Spanish actors, es:Pere Ponce and es:Emilio Gutiérrez Caba.
In 2015 she developed the makeup[2] for Ruth González character[3] in Elio Quiroga's[4] film "Sirena Negra"[5] adapting a play by es:Vanessa Montfort; the film was selected in Competition in MIFF,[6] won Best Actress Award in IV Mumbai Short Film Festival[7] and was awarded with the Best Makeup Award in LA Shorts Awards [8]
Between 2005 and 2011 Beatriz was director at the Makeup Department in es:Veo Televisión, TDT TV station under the Unidad Editorial label (called later Veo7), in charge of live shows, external shootings, and finally all the programs. During this period most of Spanish personalities of art, politics and culture were under her hands.[9]
