Beau Miles is an Australian academic,[1] author,[2] film maker, and YouTuber.[3]
Career
Beau's father was a painter. [4] Beau started as an undergraduate student in 1999 at Monash University in Melbourne, Australia. Later, Beau started to lecture at Monash in outdoor education, and later earned his PhD in Outdoor Education at Monash.[5] In 2016, Beau started his YouTube channel for his PhD project, "Bass by Kayak" in a six-part video series.[6] In 2021, Beau quit his job as a professor and became a full-time Dad and YouTuber.[4] In 2021, Beau released his first book, *The Backyard Adventurer*. [7]

Beau has produced and released a total of 17 films, as of January 2022, releasing them all on his YouTube channel.[8]

Personal Life
Beau is married to his wife Helen, and they have a daughter together, May. She was born in October of 2019.[7][9]
