Becky Erickson (born 1954) is an American politician who has served as the Mayor of Poulsbo since 2010.[1][2] She was elected to the Poulsbo City Council in 2008, and was elected as mayor two years later in 2010.[1] Erickson ran in 2018 for the Washington's 23rd legislative district, but lost to Sherry Appleton.[2][3] She is married to Jerry Erickson, with whom she has two children.[1]
Life
Becky Erickson was born in 1954 in Seattle, Washington, but lived the majority of her childhood in Kent.[1] In 1979, she graduated from the University of Washington with a degree in economics.[1] Erickson entered politics in 2006, and in 2008, she was elected to the Poulsbo City Council.[1] In 2010, she was elected mayor after defeating the then-incumbent mayor of Poulsbo, Kathryn Quade.[1][4] She has served as the mayor of Poulsbo ever since.
