Beco Steel Limited is a Pakistani steel-manufacturing company based in Lahore. The company is listed on the Pakistan Stock Exchange under the ticker symbol BECO.[1] Formerly known as Ravi Textile Mills Limited, the company was re-branded as Beco Steel in 2021. [2]
History
The company traces its roots to a steel business founded in 1962 by Chaudhry Muhammad Noor.[3] In 2020, a proposal was announced by steel-mill owners to acquire majority shareholding (more than 51%) of Ravi Textile Mills, which had ceased textile operations and faced sustained losses.
