Bedroom Pop is a subgenre of Pop music, categorized by indie or DIY production and dreamy vocals with lo-fi percussion and guitars with reverb. The name, "Bedroom Pop," derives from artists producing and recording in their bedroom. Bedroom Pop saw its rise in the 2010s, with artists like Rex Orange County, Clairo, and mxmtoon being some predominant artists. The genre draws influences from folk pop, indie, and emo music.
