Bee Appleseed (Brian Eric Smith born February 20, 1990) is an American songwriter, musician, poet, music producer, actor, and comedian best known for his work as a solo performer.[1] He was born in Carbondale, Illinois and moved to Canby, Oregon when he was three where he grew up, finishing Canby High School in 2008 before attending Oregon State University in Corvallis, Oregon until 2012, graduating with a dual major in Business Management and Business Administration, an International Business Option, and a Minor in Zoology.[2] He is a prolific and well-traveled modern troubadour who lived in Corvallis and Portland, Oregon as well as a number of places across Europe including Vienna, Austria, Leipzig, Germany, Zagreb, Croatia, and Lindesberg, Sweden before settling in Los Angeles, California. He now runs Godyssey Music And Healing Arts as a record label and sound healing business with long time girlfriend and creative partner Nora Keyes [3] with whom he also has an improvised psychedelic band called Elf Freedom[4]. His most recent album titled "Starflower's Cosmic Soul" came out in February 2020 on Baby Robot Records and is a rock and roll odyssey featuring a backing band of more than fifteen people[5]. The sound he creates can be described as psychedelic rock and roll with roots in American folk music and his shows take audiences to great heights and depths, usually improvised making no concert ever the same. Bee is a lighthearted entertainer with a golden love for the road and all those open to sharing the journey.[6][7]
Bee was on an "endless tour" that spanned from August 1, 2012 to July 25, 2015 during which time he performed more than 300 concerts in over 40 countries across Europe and South America funded entirely from the shows he'd actively organize online while traveling.[8][9]
