History

In 2005, Tom Beeby, Michael Clark and Stuart Meyler, formerly partners at Modem Media (acquired by Digitas in 2004), banded together to create Stinson Partners, named after a beach in Stuart Meyler’s Northern California hometown. The agency, originally based in Irvington, New York, was formed to reflect the constant change in consumer media consumption habits.[1] and consequently has been responsible for a number of firsts for clients such as GE and Marriott. As the agency grew and gained recognition, it changed names in July 2008 to represent its three co-founders.

Beeby Clark+Meyler moved headquarters to Stamford, CT, in 2012, and because of continued growth[2], expanded to include a New York City office in 2013. In 2015, the agency was named one of the Best Places to Work in Connecticut[3] and one of Crain’s Best Places to Work in New York City[4]. That same year, Beeby Clark+Meyler also landed on both Entrepreneur’s Most Entrepreneurial Companies[5] list as well as its Top Company Cultures[6] rankings.

Clients and Notable Work

Early agency efforts included the first live, in-banner broadcast[7], for client GE in 2008, with live Q&A and commenting for GE Corporate, Ecomagination and Healthymagination[8]. Another effort for GE, Sharing Healthy Ideas, has been recognized as a notable example of native advertising[9]

For client Marriott in 2012, Beeby Clark+Meyler helped launch the first travel app to reach the Top 5 on the iTunes store[10], and as part of that campaign, made it the first marketer to use a QR code on Facebook. In 2015, BCM and Marriott successfully experimented with early usage of native Gmail ads,.[11] helping drive awareness for by featuring videos and imagery with larger ad units.[12]

Other notable work includes a mobile-first trivia game for Schick Hydro razors in partnership with 20th Century Fox's X-Men [13], and a native content campaign[14] and interactive mobile video[15] for Schick Xtreme3[16]. A new campaign for Hydro the following year featured social-media influencers shaving for the razor brand, including famously bearded "Epic Meal Time" star Harley Morenstein. Additional agency social-influencer efforts have tapped actresses Tia Mowry-Hardrict and Tamera Mowry-Hously for client Playtex Baby[17] and YouTube star Brittani Louise Taylor for Schick Intuition razors[18].

In 2015, Beeby Clark+Meyler led a programmatic advertising effort for ERA that used first- and second-party data to drive consumers to local real-estate agents with individualized advertisements.[19]

The agency's work has been recognized with awards from the Effies, IAB, IAC, Digiday, ClickZ, W Awards, HSMAI Adrian Awards, and more.
