Beesha Fiqi Yaaqub
Beesha Fiqi Yaaqub (Arabic: يَعْقُوب فقه)
Fiqi Yaaqub traces its ancestry to Sheikh Yaaqub Warwajecle, also known as Fiqi Yaaqub, who in turn traced his lineage to the Warwajecle children. His siblings are Celi Warwajecle, Ciis Warwajecle and Musa Warwajecle. His children are Hassan Yaaqub and Jamilo Yaaqub. Therefore, Yaaqub Warwajecle is described as (/Habar Yaaqub/; Arabic: يَعْقُو فقه [fɪqh Yaqub]) is Islamic jurisprudence. While Sharia is believed by Muslims to represent divine law as revealed in the Quran and the Sunnah (the teachings and practices of the Islamic prophet Muhammad), fiqh is the human understanding of the Sharia. Therefore, when Yusuf Amanreer (Howrarsame) was missioned to kill his uncle Mohamed Dauud, the King of Darood, he was being discriminated against by the rest of the Marehan clans and his properties like camels, cattle, goats, sheep and horses were looted. All Marehan clans agreed that anyone hosting him shall be cast out, so Yaaqub Warwajecle, known as Fiqi Yaaqub, an Islamic jurisprudence scholar, strongly opposed and hosted Yusuf Amanreer (Howrarsame).
The Fiqi Yaqub are divided into three sub-lineages:
1) Jiir Hassan
2) Ali Hassan
Ali Hassan are classified into:
Reer Ilbir Abdi Ali
Reer Ilbir are classified into:
Reer Cigaal Reer Wehliye Reer Gudaal Reer Qeyre
Abdi Ali are classified into:
Reer Colow Reer Xabad Reer Gulled
Gadiid Hassan are classified into:
Reer Jilaal Reer Jimcale Ahmed Farah
The first born of Hassan Yaquub Warwajecle "Fiqi Yaqub" was Jiir Hassan and the last born was Gadiid Hassan, while Ali Hassan was in the middle of the family. Some Fiqi Yaaqub sub-clans, specifically members of the Ali Hassan sub-lineage Reer Ilbir and Abdi Ali, consider themselves to be members of the larger Fiqi Yaaqub politically aligned group with the larger Marehan Clan. However, others within the Gadiid Hassan sub-lineage would argue that they are politically aligned with the larger Marehan clan; this does not mean that they are against each other, but they are involved with the political system. Jiir Hassan is Islamic jurisprudence, Uluma and Ugaas of Fiqi Yaaqub. UNHCR considers the Fiqi Yaquub as among the Marehan majority, a separate group, with three sub-lineages: Jiir, Ali and Gadiid, mostly inhabiting the Galgaduud, Mudug, Lower Jubba, Gedo, NFD-Kenya and Somali regions in Ethiopia.
