Begerith is a Russian extreme metal band from Vladivostok, formed in 2003. The band was originally known as Hagalar. In 2016, the band moved to Moscow. The band has recorded two full-length albums and one EP.
History
Begerith was formed in 2003 by the band's frontman Aleksei Bushuev. The very first EP *Dreamactor* was released in 2009. The next full-length album, *My Way to the Star…*, was recorded in Poland on Hertz studio, known for its work with Behemoth, Vader, Decapitated and Vesania. After the album's release, the band actively toured with Marduk, Vader, Napalm Death, Behemoth and Kataklysm in Russia.
In 2015, the band started to record their next full-length album, *A.D.A.M.*. In order to have a better insight of the Polish black-death metal scene, the band moved to Poland for the period of 2015–2016. The instruments were recorded on Hertz in Poland. Wiesławski brothers from Hertz studio did mix and mastering for this album. The vocals have been recorded on Dreaming Stars Studio in Vladivostok. Guest musicians were involved in the recording of the album: Polish musician Michał Staczkun, known for his work with Hate, Nikolai Kislov (organ, synthesizer). The album was designed by Denis "Forkas" Kostromitin.[1], who worked with Behemoth. The album was released on the Italian label Minotauro Records[2] in 2017. To support the new album, the band played a mini-tour in Germany. After the release of the album, following magazines wrote articles about the band: *Legacy Magazine*[3] (Germany) and *Metal Hammer*[4]
