Behzad Davarpanah (Persian: بهزاد داورپناه, romanized: Behzād DāvarPanāh; born February 24, 1992), better known by his stage name, Behzad Leito (Persian: بهزاد لیتو), is an Iranian rapper and producer.[1]
Early life[edit]
Behzad Leito was born in Tehran, Iran on February 24, 1992. He became interested in rap in his teenage years when his friends in school talked about new rap songs. He also mentioned Erfan as one of his favourite Iranian rappers during his teenage life. He always wanted to play a role in rap music and succeed in hip-hop. Leito moved to Dubai, UAE with his family when he was 16.RadioJavan brings Persian pop to Vegas
Musical career[edit]
Early years[edit]
When Leito moved to Dubai, he started downloading online rap beats and recording his voice with a low-quality microphone. Everything was amateur and unprofessional, but he got more engaged in music. Currently, he is among the most popular rappers in Iran. On the RadioJavan website, his music has a total of more than 600 million plays.[2][3]
2011–12: Paydar[edit]
In Dubai, Leito met Erfan through a mutual friend, and they created a new group named "Paydar" with Sina Taham, Afra, Sarkesh, Sogand, Paya, and Gdaal. They had a few successful collaborations. He released his first song, "Kargardan" featuring Erfan in May, 2011 . "Paydar 1" was another collaboration with 6 other Paydar members. Leito decided to work alone in 2012 because he thought he would have a brighter future, so he left Paydar.[4]
2012,2022: Zedbazi[edit]
There was a family gathering which Leito attended with his family when he was still in Paydar. During that gathering, he met Sijal and Sohrab MJ, Zedbazi member who Leito knew him through his songs. After that Leito became friends with him and Alireza JJ. His first collaboration was with Alireza JJ. JJ produced "Farda (Live Remix Tomorrow)" which was a new style for Leito, and he became successful. He has a few other collaborations which became hits. His first song with Zedbazi members was "Saat Vayse". Then he decided to attend in Zedbazi's first studio album, Zakhar Nameh, and specifically in the song "Nakoni Bavar". "Nakoni Bavar" is one of the most famous songs of Zedbazi. Also, "Fogholade", featuring Sijal and Sami Beigi, is one of the greatest hits of Leito with approximately five million plays on the RadioJavan website. Behzad's collaboration with Zedbazi made him more famous and successful.[3][5][6]
