Beit Hinuch
Beit Hinuch (Hebrew: בית חינוך, lit. Education House; Also known as תיכון עירוני ג', Tichon Ironi Gimel, lit. 3rd Municipal High School) is a High school in the German Colony neighbourhood in Jerusalem.
Founded in 1939, it was the 3rd Hebrew school to be established in Jerusalem in modern times (after Tehilla-Evelina de Rothschild Secondary School - Ironi Aleph, 1st Municipal High School, and Rehavia Gymnasium - Ironi Bet, 2nd Municipal High School).
In 2013 the school won the Education Award of the City of Jerusalem for Academic, social and educational excellence.
History
The School was founded in 1939 by Israel's National trade union center, the Histadrut. In 1959 the Municipality of Jerusalem became the owner of the school.
