Bella's Gentlemen's Club, also known as Bella's Hacienda, is a brothel and bar located in Wells, Nevada.[1][2][3] It is one of the legal brothels (ranches) in Nevada that hosts sex workers[4] who provide sexual services to patrons. It is one of the two remaining ranches in Wells.[3][5][6]
Bella's and the neighboring Donna's Ranch, are the first brothels encountered when entering the state from the east.[7] Many of the patrons are truckers and the sex workers use the CB radio to entice drivers to stop at the ranch.[8] The rooms have different themes,[2] and there is a jacuzzi[9] and a BDSM dungeon.[10]

The ranch opened in 1950[11] as the Hacienda Ranch[8] and is located just off Interstate 80.[7] It has been owned and run since 1981 by Bella Shauna Cummins.[8] In the late 1990s, Cummins had a road built from the ranch to the highway. The road avoids patrons having to cross the busy tracks of the Union Pacific Railroad.[8] Nevada state Law NAC 441A.800 requires prostitutes to be regularly tested for HIV and STIs and the "person in charge of a licensed house of prostitution" is responsible for ensuring compliance.[12] In 2004, the ranch was temporarily closed by the local sheriff's office for irregularities in medical certification.[13] The owners of Bella's, Shauna and Lance Cummins, subsequently sued Elko County Sheriff Dale Lotspeich for allegedly acting outside the law in closing the establishment. Their action against the sheriff was unsuccessful.[14]
