Sabelo Mkhize Popularly known as "Bello B", is a South African producer, songwriter, and artist from Pietermaritzburg , KwaZulu-Natal.
Biography
Born and raised in the heart of KwaZulu-Natal, "Bello B's" passion for music began at a young age. He started as a Hip-hop dancer in 2005 and soon transitioned to being a DJ, with his first residency at "First Floor Lounge" in "Howick".
"Bello B's" Music career took off when he met "Gallo", a dancer and music enthusiast, in Tongaat. They formed a duo "Bello no Gallo" and signed with "Ziyenzeka Ent". And releasing several hits, including "Nomeyodwa" featuring "Mapopo". Their breakthrough hit "uPhaqa" featuring "Sbopho" gained national attraction and radio airplay.
The duos success led to interviews on major commercial radio stations, media coverage and award nominations including the SAMA Awards, Metro FM Awards and Channel O Awards.
In 2021 their song "KHULA" featuring "Niseni" became the song of the year in five radio stations in South Africa. "Bello no Gallo" received a nomination in The Best Gqom Album category at the 30th Annual South African Music Awards (SAMAs) in 2024 for their project "Gqom To Another Level Vol.1". They also got nominated for Best Gqom Record at the South African Dance Music Awards (SADMAs) for their song "Muntu Wami".
As a Solo artist "Bello B" has released his debut EP "Awazani Namina Wena" available on all digital platforms. He is signed to "ISUKILE RECORDS" a prominent south african record label and has hits like "KHULA", "IMALI IYAGEZANA" and "Ey'Ntabeni". Bello B is known for his High-energy live performances and has appeared at major events doing big stages like "Gagasi FM Beach Fest" and "Articulate Africa".
As a songwriter, producer and artist Bello B is making waves in the south african music scene and promising more entertainment and music as a solo artist.
