Ben DeLaurentis (born July 26, 1987) is an American singer-songwriter and guitarist. He is known for his solo career and his work with Lynchburg, Virginia-based band Steal the Prize.[3] His debut album, Liar for a Muse, was released on August 21, 2018,[4][5] and his second album Should've Been a Mime on February 10, 2021.[citation needed]
Early life
Ben DeLaurentis was born in Richmond, Virginia and grew up in Fishersville, Virginia.
Music career
DeLaurentis achieved notoriety in the Central Virginia area as the lead singer and guitarist for Lynchburg, Virginia based band Steal the Prize[6][7] before beginning to perform as a solo act. He toured widely in support of his debut release Liar for a Muse,[8] which received mixed reviews,[9][10] and tours regularly as an opener for jazz rock band Marbin.[11] DeLaurentis appeared on Nashville Songwriters Association International's January 2020 "EARS" list of musicians to watch.[12]
