Ben Zhou is the co-founder and CEO of a cryptocurrency exchange Bybit headquartered in United Arab Emirates.[1]
Education and career
Zhou founded Bybit, a cryptocurrency exchange that offers fiat, spot, derivatives and non-fungible tokens (NFTs), web3.0 applications that allows users to transact cryptocurrencies, and became its CEO in 2018.[citation needed] The company has more than six million registered users and operates in 160 countries, offering 24/7 customer support in 16 languages.[2][3]
In 2021 Zhou pledged US$800,000 in Bitcoin over two years in partnership with UNICEF to help empower girls’ education in East Asia and the Pacific.[4]
In 2022 Zhou announced that Bybit is shifting its headquarters from Singapore to Dubai after receiving in-principle approval to conduct virtual assets business in the U.A.E. from the authorities.[5][2]
