From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

Benjamin Faes (born April 25, 1972) is a French business executive who has served as Group Chief Executive Officer of RWS Holdings plc since January 2025. He was appointed CEO-designate in December 2024 and assumed the role on 6 January 2025.[1][2][3][4]

Early Life and Education

Faes earned a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from ESSEC Business School in Paris in 1995.[5]

Career

Faes began his career in the digital media and internet services sector at AOL, where he worked from 2000 to 2008.[1][6] During this period, AOL was a major provider of online services and advertising platforms in Europe. Faes held a series of commercial and managerial roles across the region, contributing to the company’s development in national markets.[1][6]

He later became Managing Director for France, where he was responsible for overseeing the company’s operations in the country, including its advertising and online services business.[1][6]

Faes joined Google in 2008, beginning a tenure of more than a decade in senior leadership roles across the Europe, Middle East, and Africa (EMEA) region. His work at the company spanned multiple business areas, including digital advertising, media platforms, and enterprise technology.[1][7]

In his earlier roles, Faes was involved in the commercial development of Google’s media platforms. This included work related to the monetisation of YouTube in Europe, particularly in the development of advertising strategies for the platform.[1]

He later transitioned to Google Cloud, where he became Managing Director for Southern Europe and emerging markets. In this role, he was responsible for expanding the company’s cloud computing business across a geographically diverse set of markets. His responsibilities included regional strategy, commercial operations, and engagement with enterprise and public-sector clients.[5]

His work at Google Cloud focused on increasing adoption of cloud technologies in markets identified as growth regions, reflecting a broader shift within Google toward enterprise services.[5]

In 2021, Faes joined Webhelp, a multinational provider of customer experience and business process outsourcing services, as Chief Executive Officer for the United Kingdom.[1][6]

Following the acquisition of Webhelp by Concentrix, Faes moved into a leadership role within Concentrix Catalyst, the group’s digital transformation and consulting division.[1]

In November 2024, RWS Holdings plc announced Faes as its incoming Group Chief Executive Officer. He joined the company as CEO-designate on 2 December 2024 and assumed the roles of Chief Executive Officer and board director on 6 January 2025.[1][2][8]

Other role

Faes has served as a non-executive director at NetBooster S.A., a digital marketing company. He is also listed as an executive director of RWS Holdings plc following his appointment as chief executive.[1]
