Biography

Early life

Born and brought up in Mumbai, India. Ben Samuel completed his Bachelor of Science in Information Technology from Mumbai University. He was raised as a Christian and attended St. Aloysius High School, Xavier Group in Mumbai. Always a sports lover, in high school Ben represented his school's football team.

In 2015, he qualified for a scholarship interview for the United Kingdom and successfully capitalized on the opportunity by moving to the UK to complete his further studies at the University of Northampton. After completing a master's degree in Marketing, Ben initiated his career in London. He strongly believes that having resided in two metropolitan cities like London and Mumbai really helped him attain high strides in terms of personal growth and development, which now helps him think broadly and independently.

Fit On Click

After moving to Dubai, Ben struggled to find a fitness facility that met his requirements in his community. Fit On Click, which started as an online fitness and wellness finder in 2014, is now a one-stop shop for fitness, healthy food, sports, and corporate engagement services in the UAE. Ben Samuel, through Fit On Click, is not only bringing the community together but also changing how people live their lives, by helping people enroll in fitness and sports activities and also gamifying the experience towards wellbeing at work to create a better company culture through Fit On Click's Corporate Programs. Keeping in mind the company’s vision and the government's mission to make Dubai a happier place to live and work in, Ben Samuel launched Corporate Sports Tournaments in 2016, where all the leading companies of the country are invited to come together, play, and compete in various sports like Cricket, Football, Basketball, etc. With over 100 corporates now working with Fit On Click as their prime wellness and sports provider in the United Arab Emirates, Fit On Click emerged as the Fastest Growing SME in the nationwide Business Excellence Awards conducted by Ras Al Khaimah Economic Zone in December 2017.

Nationwide Bank East Midland

From 2010 to 2013, Ben headed the customer service department of Nationwide Bank's East Midlands Region.

Shelter of Love Orphanage

From 2013 to 2015, Ben Samuel supported Shelter of Love, a Mumbai-based orphanage founded by Ben's father, George, in early 2004. Ben implemented his marketing ideas to design and launch a fundraising campaign called CARE. Mahindra, Shoppers Stop, and OTIS were some of the leading corporates that came onboard to buy CARE merchandise.

Personal life

Samuel is a passionate cricketer and he puts his passion into practice whenever he gets time. Also a fitness enthusiast, Ben makes sure he goes on long runs almost 5 times a week, which he also calls a “clearing time”. He loves the hip hop genre and is a big fan of Kendrick Lamar and ASAP Rocky. Ben Samuel is married to Neha Samuel, who is the current COO of Fit On Click. They both reside in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.
