Benjamin Rondeau Madrid (born August 22, 1976) is a Hispanic-American actor, comedian, director, screenwriter, and film producer. He is the recipient of various accolades, including 'Best Comedic Performance' for the Telly Awards in 2022. As a public figure, Madrid has been cited as one of the up and coming actors and comedians in the American entertainment industry.

Career

Benjamin first gained recognition as a comedian signed to the record label Two Fish Studios in Mankato, MN. The album 'Not Right In The Head' was the first of a two-album deal, recorded and engineered by Luke Harper. His first leading roles were in big-budget commercials as well as modeling productions. He gave a critically acclaimed performance in the short 'How to Run a .05k' which won him a Telly Award in 2022. Madrid signed a holding deal with Smoke and Mirrors for directing the pilot 'Yes Plus' which chronicled the IO Theater's owner Charna Halpern’s ability to turn ordinary people into comedic stars through auditions for Saturday Night Live. He was the lead in the film 'No Place'(2020), distributed by Indican Pictures (US) and Trinity Creative Partnership (UK and Ire).

Madrid's first feature film was 'The Lumber Baron', in the villainous role of Mike Doyles directed by Barry Andersson.

In 2022, he wrote and directed 'Big Syrup and The Maple Men' which is currently in production.

Personal life

Madrid has four children and is married to Erin Rondeau-Madrid.
