Eme Ndukwe (born June 24, 1999), known by his stage name Benji Baby, is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. Formerly managed by his hometown friend, Benji is a free agent who has been eager to drop new music to his growing fan base. He has yet to drop a studio album, but has been previewing a lot of new music proving that he is constantly perfecting his craft. His future is very bright in the music industry.
Early Life
Eme Ndukwe was born in the Bronx, New York. He grew up in the Wakefield area of the Bronx on the "40 Block". He attended and graduated John F. Kennedy High School in 2016.
Career
Benji began rapping in 2011, where he went by the name "Lil Sketchy". Benji taught himself to record and mix his music at the age of 13 on Audacity, and began to release music on Soundcloud in 2014. Benji released his first mixtape, "O-Eleven" on Datpiff & Spinrilla in August 2016, which featured artists from his hometown like BigFucka, Nazzy Nazz, and Prince Mulaa.
Benji released another EP, "Back to Business" in October 2016, which had no features and introduced his new stage name, "Benji Baby".
On August 18, 2018, Benji released his debut mixtape with his new stage name and new style named, "Me > You". This mixtape was released under 33rd ENT Management and included Benji's hit songs like "Chek", produced by his producer & friend, HIC!, and "N*ggaz Nervous", where he expressed how he felt about his upcoming music.
Then, on March 1, 2019, Benji released another mixtape, under 33rd ENT Management, "Vibes on Vibes", where he dug more into his craft & expressed his versatility. He released this mixtape on various music platforms such as Apple Music, Tidal and Spotify. Since then, he has received a lot of media coverage and his fan base has grown tremendously.
As of today, Benji is a Free Agent, unsigned and without management.
