The Benwick Bugle is a bi-monthly community news magazine for the village of Benwick, Cambridgeshire. The magazine is delivered free to all homes in the village and available digitally.[1]

History

The Benwick Bugle was launched in September 2006 by Jane Levicki as a quarterly publication. The magazine was introduced as a means of publicising local information, with there having been no community news publication since the parish newsletters of the Victorian era.[2] In December 2007 it was announced the Bugle would become a bi-monthly magazine due to its popularity.[3]

In April 2011 the magazine was passed to a new editor, Adam Keppel-Garner[4] who ran the magazine for five years before he too passed the pen to new editor Susanne Nichols in January 2016.[5]

Content

The Bugle is primarily a community news magazine, providing news on different community organisations submitted by representatives.[6] It has featured original content on the history of the village and reports on the activities of Benwick Parish Council. The magazine used to host a number of regular columns such as on gardening and cookery.
