History[edit]

The Berlin MVA was founded in 2013 by the producer and manager Aviel Silook. The event-organizer initiated this festival and award ceremony as this format had not existed in Berlin.[3] Initially, it was aimed to be local but in the first year of existence it became international with particpants from Europe and North America. Ever since, more award categories have been added and the international recognition has grown.[4] Amongst the awardees are The Prodigy, Coldplay, and Little Big (band).
