Biography
Formation
Born in Narbonne, Bernard Sarrazain joined Toulouse and started his career with an apprenticeship as a plumber without passion[1]. After, he moved to another job for delivery and he integrates the society Kodak[1].
Entrepreneurship
In 1994, he left his job for a new challenge and created his own business at his name Sarrazain Transport with his wife Marie-Christine[1]. This company is a success because 25 years later, he called his son Lionel to the head of this company which it has more than 350 employees, and his other son to the head of the society Raynal recently acquired by Sarrazain, with 30 employees.[1].
Toulouse olympique
He is, with Bernard Guasch, president of Catalans Dragons, one of the two presidents to have managed to incorporate a French club in Super League since the 2000s. After his retirement, he became involved in becoming the president of Toulouse olympique in 2012. He succeeds Charles Zalduendo who became the President of the French federation of rugby league. That is because of his incorporation in the association "Table Ovale" that Sarrazain became the president of Toulouse olympique and accepted the proposition of Zalduendo[2].
Shortly after he came, Toulouse olympique captured two French Championship in 2014 and 2015, the Coupe de France in 2014, with Sylvain Houles as a trainer. After, Sarrazain asked to integrate the English championship with success. After six seasons, Toulouse olympique obtained the right to integrate the Super League after his victory against Featherstone in 2021[3].
