History[edit]

Matt Meier, COO, developed the idea of "Between The Lines" from his previous experience as a professional baseball player.[2] Matt was the 30th round draft pick of the Colorado Rockies in the 2015 MLB Draft out of Lindenwood University where he obtained his degree in Business Administration with an emphasis in marketing.[3] Matt put both his experience and expertise as a Minor League Baseball Player and General Manager of a Sports Training Facility to the test. Matt's first Between The Lines participant was Nathan Orf, Infielder with the Milwaukee Brewers. [4] With heavy involvement in Between The Lines, Matt currently resides as the Head Pitching Coach of Division II World Series Contenders, Lindenwood University. [5][6]

Ryan Bell, current CEO of Between The Lines, joined Matt Meier in early March 2018. Ryan Bell, Founder and Former CPO of "Gremlin Social", a web-based social media tool, was immediately promoted to CEO based on his successes and expertise. [7] Ryan is President of NOV, LLC, a software development firm based in St. Louis, MO. NOV is the maker of Twaitter.com and the journalism software package, ReadWriteNews.com. Ryan has over 14 years of experience working in the software development and IT industries with expertise in designing, developing, and managing the development of business, social media, and journalism software applications for myriad companies in a variety of industries. He recently left a position as the Managing Director of the international division of a software development firm in order to focus on the building of business opportunities around the Twitter communications platform. Ryan’s educational background is in Computer Science with graduate training in International Affairs and Business. He is dedicated to finding better ways for businesses to collaborate and share ideas through technology.

This stems from his time spent working to find a technological solution to problems facing the news media industry as it adjusts to the effects of new content delivery methods on the Internet. Research on this topic led to the desire to work with Twitter and the suite of Twitter business tools known today as Twitter.[8]

Business and Service[edit]

Between The Lines, heavily involved in social media[9][10][11], offers Pro Tips of the Day from current professional athletes mostly residing in Minor League Baseball and Major League Baseball. These authentic tips are simply recorded by the professionals front-view camera and sent to Matthew Meier where he creates a montage video of their tip and previous or current season. The tip is then posted on the Between The Lines social media as well as Meier's Instagram where he currently has over 12,000 followers[12]. Between The Lines has recently released their first lines of apparel with two lines of trucker style hats.
