Between Two Sides is a five-member alternative / punk rock band formed in 2015. Originally from Belgrade, Serbia.
The band was founded by the lead guitarist Lazar Mihajlović along with singer and front-man Aleksandar Lukić. In addition to the two, the band consists of Konstantin Nešovanović on guitar, Filip Pavlović on bass and Minja Vuletić on drums
Stylistically they are playing some sort of punk music and generally speak about good and bad parts of everyone's life. Local fans had the opportunity to get acquainted with the creativity of this Belgrade melodic quintet. They are recognizable by their vocal-instrumental expression and their continuous progress. So far they made several singles, as well as an EP called "Anyway".[1]
History[edit]
The band was formed in 2015 by vocalist Alek and guitarist Lazar at the Punk Rock Holiday 1.5. In the early days Alek was playing the bass, Lazar the guitar and they were joined by the drummer Marko. As a trio, band's performances gained them some public attention.[2] After two years the drummer left the band. The original two members tried to find a replacement, as well as the second guitar which resulted in continuous member changes. The role of rhythm guitarist was finally taken by Konstantin Nešovanović (the former front-man of RNDM 42) who had similar style and a lot of stage experience. On January 2018, Alek decided to focus on main vocals so Filip Pavlović (Pax) joined the group as a new bass player, together with Minja Vuletić on drums.
The reformed group started working on new material right away. They recorded an album called "Anyway" as well as several studio singles.[3]
With new members the band was constantly evolving. Influenced by modern rock groups, like American rock band "The Killers", their sound shifts to more appealing and commercial style which opened some new opportunities for live performances.[4]
