Beverly Bonner

Beverly Bonner is an American actress and comedian, best known for her roles in horror films, including Basket Case, and her stand-up comedy. She has also acted on stage, appearing in Tom Eyen's play Women Behind Bars with the late Divine.[1]

Early life[edit]

Bonner grew up in Chesaning, Michigan. She moved to New York City to pursue an acting career at age 25.[2]

Career[edit]

Bonner performed as a stand-up comedian while working part-time for TV production companies. In 2007, she quit her job as a legal assistant for VH1 to pursue stand-up and acting full-time.[2]

She has appeared in all of the films directed by Frank Henenlotter, including the Basket Case series, Brain Damage, Frankenhooker and Bad Biology. She also starred in 2009's short film Little Frankie Stein.

She produced the live taped talk/comedy/variety show "The Beverly Bonner Show."[3]

In 2013, she appeared in the indie film See You Next Tuesday by director Drew Tobia.[4]

In 2014, Bonner produced "Casey 30 Years Later," which was based on Bonner's original character in Henenlotter's 1982 cult horror film Basket Case. The show debuted at the Broadway Comedy Club.[3]
