Life
Beybala Aslan Khankishiyev was born on October 10, 1939, in the village of Qalaqayın, Sabirabad District. After graduating from high school in 1956, he entered the Finance and Credit College ("State Budget"). After graduating from technical school, he started working as chief accountant of the Sabirabad branch of the Azerbaijan State Insurance Company's Insurance Inspection. He was then transferred to the State Insurance Company's Inspectorate of Baku's Kirov District. In 1960, he entered Baku State University (Faculty of Economics). After graduating from the university, he entered postgraduate study at the Azerbaijan National Institute of Economics. He graduated in 1974 and defended his dissertation, receiving a Ph.D. in economics from the Moscow Financial Institute; candidate of economic sciences. In 1976, he worked as an associate professor. In 1991, he was appointed Professor (the first financial teacher in the history of Azerbaijan). He was a member of the Audit Chamber of the Republic of Azerbaijan's Standardization Commission from 1996 to 2003 and Head of the Insurance Supervision Authority from 1999 – Head of the Chief Insurance Supervision Department of the Ministry of Finance of the Republic of Azerbaijan.
Activity
He was a member of the Editorial Board of the Finance and Accounting magazine and the editorial board of the Audit magazine from 1999 to 2010. He participated in international conferences and seminars held in Turkey, Russia, France, Japan, and other countries. He is the author of two textbooks, 12 teaching aids, and over 100 scientific articles. He supervised four postgraduate students' dissertations.
