Early Life[edit]
Regmi was born in July 22, 1981 in Gothadi village of Palpa, Nepal to Rajendra Prasad Regmi and Chitrakala Regmi. He attended Deependra Secondary School, Sardi, Nawalparasi. He went on to pursue an advance diploma course from Pentasoft Institute and completed bachelor's degree from Ratna Rajya Laxmi Collage, Nepal. He has described himself as a shy kid during his childhood.
Career[edit]
In the beginning, Mr. Bharat’s career started in December, 2002 with the visual editor at the time popular television Channel Nepal till 2003. Then he started working with the best known visual graphics/director Simosh Sunawar. Regmi worked with such popular singers Nima Rumba, Kamal Man Singh, Sugam Pokharel, Sanjib Singh, Dipesh Kishowr Bhattarai, Nabin K Bhattarai, Jems Pradhan’s music videos and many more commercials. According to him, he acknowledged more experiences during the time with Simosh which helped him to expend his career professionally. Almost working 2 years with Simosh, Bharat started freelance work in Nepal. Among them “Ma Hu Prakiti” by “Shadows Band” was very popular music video which made him well known in front of audience as a creative editor. Similarly, the video “Banma Fulyo Phool” has also taken good response. These two videos turned his career upward. Over the course of time, he has also worked with Bollywood singers Asha Bhosle for a music video "Guras Fulyo" and Lata Mangeshkar and Ramkrishna Dhakal duet music video "Bachunjeli Lai" which was very popular. Till now Bharat is awarded two times for Best Visual Effects for the videos “Naulo” and “Ek Chin Baralida” by 9th and 11th Annual Image Award respectively. And another two times awarded for Best Music Video Editor for the “Selfi Queen” and “Ma Paglinchu” by Nepali Music Video Award 2018 and Bindabasini Music Award 2013 respectively. At the same time, he has also done some Nepali movies such as "Kollywood", "Ritu", "Katha Kathmandu", “Chauka Dau”, “Sushree Sampati” and worked on very popular documentary Sunakali where he presented his art in editing/graphics and color correction that owns 18 awards in different award ceremonies. Bharat worked for feature video “The Nepali Soldier” about the Nepal Army which is directed by Bhusan Dahal as well he worked as a Senior Visual Editor in trendy television Kantipur almost fourteen years. He has also directed a short film “Affects” about domestic violence and awarded in Chico Independent Film Festival 2013, USA.
