Biafra Defense Forces
The Biafra Defense Forces[1] (BDF), generally known as the Biafra Liberation Army (BLA) serves as the primary military of the Biafra Republic Government in Exile (BRGIE). It is responsible for the guerrilla war against the Nigerian state in pursuit of the liberation of Biafra, a short-lived state in West Africa that existed from 1967 until 1970 during the war of independence. The BDF was officially established in 2023 by Simon Ekpa, following the incessant killings of Biafrans by the Nigerian Armed Forces.[2][3]
