Bibendum Chair

From EverybodyWiki Bios & Wiki

The Bibendum Chair is a piece of furniture designed by the Irish architect and designer Eileen Gray in 1926. The Bibendum Chair is currently being sold for £2,633.00 on the ARAM store under Design Classics. The chair is made of a polished chromium-plated tubular steel base with a fully upholstered seat, back, and armrests covered in fabric or leather, available in various colours. The chair is most known for its presence in many of the interiors of Gray's architectural works, most notably E-1027. The design was influenced by the then-famous 'Bibendum' Michelin Man of inflated tires, which remains Michelin Michelin's trademark.
