BigBuy is a wholesale e-commerce platform specialized in dropshipping..[1] It was founded in 2012 in Valencia (Spain).[2]
Development[edit]
BigBuy is a technology, logistics and operations platform for online stores, brands and marketplaces.
The origin of the platform began in 2010, when its founders, Salvador Esteve and Victor P. Amarnani, met. The company started as an online gift store, selling directly to the consumer. They later moved on to selling on Groupon and, after several disagreements, abandoned it.[3]The company later evolved into a dropshipping service and adopted the name BigBuy in 2012.[4] At first the firm used the technology Magento, then moved to customized technological development. In 2018, the company created the Multi-Channel Integration Platform tool, to synchronize with marketplaces and manage sales from a single tool.[5] This tool is in turn connected to the BigBuy warehouse and offers a real-time update of stock and shipping orders.[6]
Operation[edit]
The platform offers retail, wholesale and brand support services.
BigBuy advise retailers on the creation of an Internet store and on dropshipping distribution with synchronization of orders and inventories.[7]
Wholesale is intended for retailers and small businesses. The retailers sell on ecommerce, marketplaces, social networks or point catalog platforms, among others. They are a network of customers all over Europe who are the ones who sell to the final consumer.[7]
Assistance to brands is aimed at making operations easier, given the difficulty of selling multi-channel, multi-country and multi-language; BigBuy uses its own technology to develop the sales process and deliver the order to the final customer.[8]
Its warehouses are located in Moncada (Valencia).[9] The company, which had a turnover of 110 million € (2022), exports 95%, mainly to European countries[10]
