Big Bike Tours is a motorcycle tour and rental company operating in Southeast Asia.[1] [2]The organization takes small groups (no more than 10 persons) on guided tours of Thailand, Tibet, Cambodia, Laos, Vietnam, the Himalayas, China, and Myanmar. Packages offer a mixture of motorcycle riding and cultural experiences. The company's packages typically include accommodation, food, drink, equipment, maintenance, insurance, and entrance to national parks and museums.[3]
History
Big Bike Tours was established in 2009 in Chiang Mai, Thailand by Kay Kaesler and his brother-in-law, Nirin Chaiyapan. Nirin was already working as a tour guide and rode and maintained motorcycles in his spare time when he approached his brother-in-law (a web designer) for a website. Today, the company boasts over ten routes and a fleet of motorcycles. The company also actively engages in social and community contribution activities, such as traveling to remote areas to donate sporting goods or build toilets.[4]
