The Big Church Festival, initially known as Big Church Day Out, is a non-profit Christian music festival created by Tim Jupp, a founding member of Delirious?,[1] held annually in Wiston, West Sussex, England. The event showcases various genres of Christian music, including Christian rock, contemporary worship music, gospel, and Christian rap.

History[edit]

The festival was launched in 2009 as "Big Church Day Out" with 15,000 attendees. It expanded to a three-day event in 2010, attracting 25,000 people. In 2011, it was reduced to two days, with attendance dropping to 20,000. Since 2012, it has consistently drawn over 25,000 attendees annually. After cancellations in 2020 and 2021 due to the COVID-19 pandemic, the festival returned in 2022 as the 'Big Church Festival', welcoming 40,000 attendees.[2]
