Big Rick In The Morning is a morning radio program on radio station WGGC (95.1 FM) The show first aired on April 1st, 2019 and is hosted by radio personality "Big" Rick Daniels.[1]
The show is a talk/entertainment morning show that includes significant interaction with listeners. Each morning "Big Rick" making various comments about the upcoming day, and features guest interviews with local South Central Kentucky and national celebrities, actors, comedians and country music musicians.

- "Big" Rick Daniels - Host of the show since April 1st 2019. Originally from Evansville, Indiana where he started in radio as a teen at WYFX radio station. "Big" Rick Daniels moved to WGGC [2] [3] [4] [5] in April 2019 after stints in Boise, Idaho at KIZN [6] [7] [8] [9] & KQFC for Cumulus Media, and prior stints at WSCH, WXXC, WMDH, WLBC, and WQXQ.
Peter Buttigieg Scrapped Interview Controversy[edit]
- On July 22nd, 2019 news broke that Cumulus Media blocked an interview by Blair Garner with 2020 Presidential Candidate Peter Buttigieg from airing on it's country stations nationwide.[10] [11] In a series of tweets, Big Rick In the Morning invited [12] Peter Buttigieg on its show, which airs on country music radio station WGGC, which covers a 100 mile region of very conservative South Central Kentucky, and the Nashville radio market. As of now, that interview is pending.
Academy of Country Music Nomination[edit]
On February 3rd, 2020, the Academy of Country Music nominated Big Rick In The Morning for "Small Market Personality of the Year".[13] [14] [15] [16] [17]

- First Responder Fridays (featuring local representatives from area fire departments and EMA officials)
