Early life & Education Bill Ball has degrees in biology, an M.A. in political science, and an MBA from Northern Illinois University, where he served as Student Body President.

Career Path Entrepreneurial by nature, he founded Passport Travel & Tours, which emerged as a boutique tour company with all of its tours led by Bill himself. To date, Bill has led tours to all 50 states, over 120 countries, and all 7 continents.[1] Dozens of travelers have gone to all 7 continents with him, earning a spot in the company's Seven Continents Club. Passport Travel emphasizes educational travel that focuses on the wildlife, culture, architecture, and history of the areas visited.

Television Career Last Nerve Productions, co-owned by Bill Ball, has produced two television series in which Bill hosted and co-wrote.

The first series, Journeys in India, released in 2013, covered the Indian subcontinent and won a Midwest Emmy for writing.[2] The second series, Journeys in Africa, released in October 2013, emphasized the wildlife and culture of sub-Saharan Africa. In 2015, a second season of Journeys in Africa was released, and in 2017, a second season of Journeys in India was released. In total, the two series earned 37 Telly Awards,[3] 17 Videographer Awards,[4] 8 Aurora Awards,[5] and 2 Remi Awards. Also slated for 2020 is a new travel series, Travel Quest with Bill Ball, which will explore a broad range of exotic places.

Plays

In July 2008, Bill released his first play, Creating ARThur.[6] The play is a comedy that follows the adventures of two brothers who want to immortalize their deceased brother by having one of his paintings hung in a museum.[7][8]
