Bill Shaheen

Bill Shaheen is the husband of Jeanne Shaheen. He is an attorney and was appointed United States District Attorney for the District of New Hampshire by Jimmy Carter in 1977. He and his wife co-owned a pawnshop with his brother-in-law Bob Fennelly called Bill and Bob's - A Sterling Example. In 1980 Fennelly was convicted of five criminal counts of recieving stolen goods through the pawn shop.

In 1981 at the end of his term as US attorney, Shaheen was made a New Hampshire district court judge and established a private law practice.[1]

In 2007 Shaheen served as the co-chair of Hillary Clinton's New Hampshire campaign, but resigned, maybe under pressure, after he made remarks against Barack Obama.[2]
