Billie Sparks is an Irish solicitor who has served as General Secretary of the Labour Party since 2020.[1][2][3]

Sparks was previously employed as a corporate solicitor in the Dublin branch of the global law firm Eversheds O'Donnell Sweeney, which is currently known as Eversheds Sutherland, from 2006 to 2009. As of 2009, she was campaign co-ordinator of Women for Europe, according to BBC News.[4][5][6] Sparks was also employed by the European Movement Ireland.[7]

Sparks has been employed by the Labour Party since 2013, holding positions such as Women and Equality officer, and Deputy General Secretary. More recently, Sparks had been serving as the party's national organiser from 2016 to 2020, before becoming General Secretary in 2020.[8][9][10]

In January 2024, the Business Post reported that Sparks was chairing a senior election committee of the Labour Party.[11][12]
