Binley Mega Chippy is a Fish and Chip shop that became popular in early 2022 on TikTok.[1]
History
The founder is Kamal Gandhi, who founded the shop back in 2004. The earliest known tweet of the shop was in 2009 by user @rutty_uk. As of 2024, it has 7 employees working for Kamal[2]. In early 2022, users on TikTok started posting ironic memes and shitposting about the fish and chip shop with an accompanying jingle[3]. Then, a majority of users started traveling to the shop at the earliest possible time. Currently the shop is still operating.
