Production
The film was developed as a 3D animated feature. It features voice performances by actors and playback singers including Juhi Chawla, Shaan, and Kailash Kher.[3] A film released prior to its theatrical release showcased the animated character designs and musical theme of the film.[4]
Release
Bird Idol was released theatrically in India on 23 April 2010.[5] The film has a runtime of 104 minutes. It recorded an opening weekend collection of approximately ₹7,00,000 and a total domestic nett gross of around ₹13,50,000 against a reported budget of ₹2,50,00,000.[6]
