Bisertsi (in English: Pearls) is a village in the Deliorman region in northeastern Bulgaria. It lies in Kubrat municipality, Razgrad district.

Geography

Bisertsi village is located 11 km from Kubrat, 25 km from Tutrakan, 47 km from Razgrad and 50 km from Ruse. Near the village of Bisertsi are the villages of Zadruga (2 km), Bojurovo (7 km), Terter (5 km), Madrevo (8 km). Most of the village is located in a flat, hilly area. The Kubrat - Tutrakan road passes near the village. There is an agricultural airfield 4 km outside the village in the direction of Tutrakan.

Livelihood

The population is mainly engaged in agriculture and animal husbandry.

History

The old name of the village was Nasraddin. On November 23, 1940, with Council of Ministers Circular No. 3077, the village of Galabari (Kazçılar) was annexed to the village of Bisertsi.

Public institutions

In Bisertsi there is a primary school "Nikola Yonkov Vaptsarov" with about 20 students. There is a computer room for students. The village also has a public education and community center "Stefan Karadzha", a town hall, and a post office. Places of worship include a church and two mosques.

Regular events

Every year in the second week of June a meeting is held in the settlement. "Slavia" wrestling sports club – young people from Bisertsi and nearby villages and towns compete for the first prize.
